I am having trouble importing qif files from quicken (my wife will not stop
using windows if she can not replace quicken). I export from Quicken
2007. I open an existing account in kmymoney and import qif files. No
matter what i do the qif will not even appear on the following dialogue. If
I right click on the qif file and hagve it open with kmymoney it says to get
an earlier version of kymymoney and then import the qif.

Thanks for any help!

Are you sure the qif files have the right permissions?

Trying to open the QIF file directly will not work, because that
expects a valid KMyMoney file, which the QIF files are not.

Alvaro

What permissions are you referring to?
Gary,
Are you sure you have filesystem permissions to view the file? Can you
open it from Dolphin or Nautilus
Does it have the right extension?

Regards,
Alvaro

PS. Please CC the list.

Hello Gary,
did it work now?

Regards,
Alvaro
I had transferred the file from another computer through the router.  When I
used a usb device it worked fine.  I had tried to give permission but maybe
because the other computer is running vista the permission did not work.
